Raised in Wisconsin, Kelsey always sensed there was more out there for her to explore. Devouring books and movies set all over the world, the travel bug and a sense of curiosity started early and only intensified as she got older. Her first taste of travel came through road trips with her family starting at a young age all over the US. While she didn’t appreciate the slow pace at the time, it taught her how to enjoy the journey as much as the final destination and to remember to leave space in any adventure for spontaneity and the unexpected. It was on her first trip to Europe in high school that Kelsey vowed to see and explore as much of this planet as possible and a desire to be fully immersed in different ways of life, culture, art and customs.
Her travels have taken her to stand on the Cliffs of Moar, swim in the Aegean Sea, study Renaissance art in Florence, stay in a yurt in Costa Rica, experience everyday life in Brussels and many places in between. The mountains called in 2017 and she answered, moving to Steamboat Springs, CO sight unseen and stepped into a bigger life of adventure. It’s here that she discovered and fell in love with Baptiste Yoga after practicing primarily hot vinyasa yoga since college. She was one of the first students at Out Here Yoga and basically hasn’t left since, completing her 200RYT training there a few months later, and now teaches and works as the OHY Studio Director.
